DIY Delta 8 Gummies
Below you’ll find a few simple steps to creating your own Delta 8 gummies. Follow our Delta 8 Gummy recipe and surprise your friends and family with their own delicious bag of adult gummy candies.
Mix Powdered Gelatin and Flavored Liquid
Mix 44 grams of powdered gelatin (unflavored) with 6 ounces of flavored liquid (or water). Mix the two together, and let sit for 5 minutes.
Mix Sugar, Sorbitol, and Glucose
Mix 8 ouches of sugar, 3 tablespoons of sorbitol (optional), and 8 ouches of glucose in a bowl. Pour into a medium-sized saucepan and stir until mixed well.
Assemble Ingredients and Cook
Place the saucepan on a stove and cook at low heat until hot, but do not let it come to a boil. Add the mix of flavored liquid/water and gelatin, and heat until melted.
Remove From Heat and Add Citric Acid
Remove from heat and add 2 teaspoons of citric acid while still warm. Stir to mix well. Let sit for 5 to 15 minutes.
Remove Foam
Foam will rise to the surface, so scoop away all foam before the mixture hardens.
Run Through Strainer and Add Delta 8
Run through a strainer, and add your Delta 8 distillate (5 to 10mg per gummy – count each cavity in the mold and multiply by 5 or 10).
Optional: Add Candy Flavoring and Food Coloring
Add half a teaspoon of candy flavoring to the mixture (only do this if you used water instead of flavored liquid). Add a single drop of food coloring to the mixture.
Finishing The Gummies
Spray the mold with cooking spray and pour the liquid gummy mix into each cavity. Place the mold in the refrigerator for 24 hours and remove each gummy from the mold after.
